Al Gendey International Trading Company and GMC

1980: Establishment of Ganidy International Trading.
• 1985: Establishment of Group for assembly and manufacturing of gas cookers,
electric heaters, and washing machines.
• 1989: Dissolution of the foreign partner due to their refusal to deepen local
manufacturing. GMC Group started establishing its own manufacturing capabilities,
starting with electric heaters under the GMC brand, followed by the manufacturing
of the first Egyptian fully automatic washing machine.
• 1991: Establishment of GMC for Engineering and Feeding Industries.
• 1992: Establishment of GMC Group for Industrial, Commercial, and Financial
Investments.
• 1993: Implementation of ISO 9001 quality control standards.
• 1995: Introduction of robotic devices for testing and examining automatic washing
machines and heaters.
• 1995: Establishment of GMC for Urban and Environmental Projects.
• 1998: Design of smart electric heaters.
• 1998: Establishment of Pyramid Trade Center.
• 2005: Establishment of GMC Egyptian Company for Engineering Industries.
• 2005: Introduction of the new concept of GMATIC in ordinary and automatic
washing machines, offering washer-dryer combinations to the market.
